Changelog
1.0.0 — 19 October 2026
Complete rewrite (Manifest V3), desktop and Android.
- Addresses are checked before the page loads, so fake sites are caught even when they do not answer. Version 0.0.5 only checked pages after they had loaded.
- A full-page warning stays until you decide, instead of a notification that disappears. Buttons to go to the real site, go back, or open anyway (once or always).
- Far fewer false alarms: legitimate international names are no longer flagged as phishing. A page is stopped when its name mixes alphabets, uses only look-alike letters, or imitates a well-known site or one of yours (Unicode UTS #39 data).
- Also catches plain-letter tricks against well-known sites (
paypa1.com,rnicrosoft.com). - Explains the trick: highlighted letters, Unicode code, alphabet and the letter they imitate.
- Toolbar icon in three colours; panel with the verdict, “trust this site” and a manual address checker.
- Options: three protection modes, trusted sites, your own sites to protect.
- Works in Firefox for Android; light and dark themes.
- No notifications permission and no network requests.
0.0.5 and earlier (2018–2024)
A content script compared the page address with its Unicode form and showed a notification.
